The blue light on the case goes on, but the external drive is not recognised at all. Imation are refusing to fix apollo imation portable hdd or even look at it. I would highly recommend NOT buying anything from Imation in the future.

I connected it to my newly formatted laptop and now — the first time ever — no computer will recognise the drive. Not even 4 weeks apollo imation portable hdd. Works on laptop but not on dvd player and that's what I bought it for. I actually really liked this unit up until yesterday when it decided to not work.

Blue light came on but couldnt be read from any PC or tv or anything. From what I've read this is not uncommon. What a waste of money.

Had all of my business data saved onto this drive as I use multiple devices. The drive failed abruptly and I was unable to access the drive at all.
